I dont seem to be able to configure the actual virtual switch as a 100Mb switch.Ĭan anyone suggest how I can ensure that the v-switch for each VM operates at 100Mb and the clients also operate at this and full duplex without negotiation? I want to make sure though that this is done end to end between both hosts. I have done this on the Cisco switch and firewall links and then also done this on the vmnic oroperties for each NIC connecting to each virtual switch. I have read that Backup Exec can require hard coding of speed and duplex settings to work properly. I have a W2K3 SBS Server VM with Backup Exec 9.1 installed.
